Hioki Super Megohmmeters are high insulation resistance meters designed to measure the electrical resistance of insulation materials with high insulating properties. The SME-8320 is a plate sample surface resistance measurement electrode consisting of the main electrode, counter electrode, and positioning jig.This is an electrode for plate sample for use together with SME-8350 shield box. This electrode enables extremely easy measurement of surface resistivity and volume of sample with coarse surface such as carpets, etc. The main electrode dia. is 50 mm, and the ring electrode inner-dia. and outer-dia. are 70 mm and 80 mm respectively.
Pair the Hioki SME-8320 with a super megohmmeter to measure the surface resistance of plate samples. For large insulation resistance values (greater than 10^10 ohms), effects from surrounding noise or hums (inductance) can cause the inability to measure correctly. For these situations, we recommend combining the Shielding Box SME-8350. Watch this video to see all 3 equipment in action.
